Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Eric was very helpful and took the time to explain his assessment of my T56 magnum. Turns out there was nothing wrong with it and it was either clutch related or shifter at this point. I will reassess once transmission is back to the shop (Papinis Garage) and installed fingers crossed and praying for a quick turnaround, very knowledgeable team appreciate yall.

Called for a price quote and the guy that answered the phone was extremely rude, condescending and unprofessional. This guy should be fired or if he’s the owner I will not recommend you nor will I tolerate this behavior. And next time you insult a mechanic remember that good experiences are what helps give recommendations for me to send people your way which ain’t going to happen.

Thank You to the team at Anaheim Gear. I hand delivered my matching numbers M20 for a complete rebuild. It's like brand new. This is why I drove all the way from Palm Desert. You want the best, you got to deliver it to the best shop in SoCal!

Not one to write reviews but I had a bad experience with Anaheim Gears so felt the need to write this. My mechanic took my trans in to get rebuilt and was told they were gonna look into it and inspect it to see what was damaged. They took it apart and after a few days told us what were the damages. They told us they had to source parts in order to rebuild it and told us they would get back to us in a few days. A few days went by and nothing so we called to get an update and was told they were still trying to source parts so with no other choice we patiently waited. Now it’s 2 weeks later, we called up again for a status update and the β€œguy” that was working on our trans is out sick and no one knows the deal with my trans. At this point frustrated I sourced another trans and asked for my old trans to be returned. These guys brought my transmission back in pieces didn’t even bother to put it back and they dropped off some parts forgetting the most important part of them all my bell housing and now we had to make another trip over to pick it up. Few months go by and now I want to rebuild my trans again and I take it to another shop only to find out that I’m missing pieces of my old t

I had a very positive experience with Anaheim Gear and especially Eric the counter salesperson. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed for my 4-speed Toploader transmission. Even though it was a small parts order he gave me the same attention as if I was purchasing 5 Transmissions from them. He called me when the parts came in and also when I went to pick up my parts he greeted me in person. Very professional organization highly recommend.
